Paula Burns serves as the CFO of Urbanspace Real Estate + Interiors. A lifelong Texan, Paula grew up in McAllen before attending Texas A&M University where she pursued a degree in accounting and competed as a Division 1 high jumper on the track and field team. Upon graduating, Paula moved to Austin and began her career in public accounting as an auditor for local, regional and Big 4 firms. She pivoted into the private sector, serving as head of accounting for a local real estate developer before moving into the role of Controller for Escobedo Construction, a luxury construction company in Buda, TX. Paula joined Urbanspace in 2013 as the team’s CFO.

Paula values the ability to work closely with her husband, Kevin Burns, CEO of Urbanspace and her sister-in-law, Lara Burns, COO of Urbanspace. Paula and Kevin live, work and play downtown along with their two daughters and two Doodle dogs, Finn and Eloise. Paula enjoys traveling with her family, skiing, sailing, reading and attending Austin’s many fun festivals.
