Shannon Stott-Sosa is a true Austinite through and through; born and raised near Zilker Park, she bleeds Orange, she’s Loyal Forever and has claimed on many occasions that Austin IS a destination city.

After graduating from Texas State University with a B.S. in Interior Design and a minor in Art, she settled in with local design/tile studio, Architerra. There she learned the ins and outs of tile design, manufacturing, layout and applications. Factory visits and trade shows gave her the opportunity to really learn the process and meet the people behind the tile. She believes that the story behind the product is just as important as the actual product.

She can not live without color. Mixed bold patterns, solids, neutral rooms with pops of vibrant color are what makes her world go round. She loves the combination of old and new and can visualize how the funky antique will fit perfectly in a sleek modern room. She’ll surprise you with that piece that makes you think, ‘I would never have thought…” but it just works—often using juxtapostion of old and new to bring comfort and create interest.

Shannon is a mother to two beautiful girls, Olive and Ivy. She enjoys using them as an excuse to explore Austin and the Hill Country on the weekends. Her family resides in North Austin, but her heart still lies in the south.
