The Austin Marathon and Half Marathon take place this year on Sunday, February 19, 2012. The course begins and ends in downtown Austin near the Capitol. There are over 30 Austin bands throughout the course to keep runners motivated, and spectators along the course throughout each neighborhood support and cheer runners on. A festival and awards ceremony takes place beginning at 10:30am at 5th Street and Congress Avenue.
